Reports to: Respite Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time, 15 hours/week
2. Provide timely updates to the team.
3. Ongoing communication to families and providers regarding program changes, requirements, and important deadlines.
4. Support special projects and program initiatives, including research, tracking outcomes, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
5. Maintain program, family, and provider documentation as established by program guidelines.
6. Support program operations by managing administrative processes, including data collection and maintenance of demographic information, coordinating family and provider updates, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation; perform additional related duties as assigned.
Compliance: Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance.
Efficiency and Effectiveness: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and coordinate projects, activities, etc.
Professionalism: Demonstrates dependability/reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to meet program goals and objectives.
Experience in providing exemplary customer service, strong oral and written communications skills; phone, email, and in-person.
Strong computer skills including word processing, data entry, database management and reporting, internet use, and email.
Relates well to individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds and of varying abilities.

Program Summary:
This program is designed to offer local Military families the ability to take a much-needed break and rejuvenate while knowing their child with special needs is being well cared for. At The Planning Council, we fulfill the contractual agreement with Child Care Aware of America in hiring, training, and monitoring qualified care providers for Military families who have a child/ren with special needs, exceptional family members (EFM). These families are eligible for monthly respite sponsored by the Military. This position reports to the Respite Care Program Director.Position Summary:
A member of the dynamic Respite Care team who supports the team with ensuring compliance. They are responsible for assisting with provider searches, training, family and provider demographic updates, and long-term projects. In addition, the Respite Assistant supports follow-up efforts to ensure that corrective actions, required documentation, and updates are completed. This position requires strong organizational skills. Regular communication to Providers, Families and the Respite Team is critical to success in the position.Essential Functions:
1. Assist with the preparation and distribution of non-use notices to families in accordance with program policies and timelines.2. Provide timely updates to the team.

Qualifications:
College preferred but not required. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently, attention to detail and effective time management skillsExperience in providing exemplary customer service, strong oral and written communications skills; phone, email, and in-person.
Strong computer skills including word processing, data entry, database management and reporting, internet use, and email.
Relates well to individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds and of varying abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This position may require local travel with exposure to outdoor elements (i.e., work errand).
